Nail reconstruction

Nail reconstruction builds an artificial surface over the damaged or missing part of a nail, using specialised materials. The aim is to protect the nail bed, make walking easier and restore a natural appearance.

When it is used

  • 01A nail that is broken, split or shortened after injury
  • 02Part of the nail missing after trauma or treatment
  • 03A deformed nail that is uncomfortable in shoes
  • 04Support while a new nail grows
03

How it is done

The nail and surrounding skin are cleaned and prepared. The material is shaped to your nail, cured and finished so it looks and feels natural. Reconstruction does not stop the real nail growing underneath.
